Anthro Traced Twirls (Polka Dot Version) Review

I had to swing by Anthropologie today at lunch time to get the security tag removed from Sara’s shirt that was left on when she got it the other day, so while I was there I tried on the new polka dot version of the Traced Twirls Dress. My mom took this cool picture with my reflection showing in the mirror beside me.

There have already been a few great reviews of this dress recently but now you get to see what it looks like on a shorty (5 ft. tall). Obviously it’s really long on me but the color is just beautiful and the cut is pretty good. I can’t usually pull off halter-style tops so I would prefer a different type of straps but I still think it’s cute. I forgot to take a picture of the cute blue ruffle underneath. I also looked for the Sugar & Cream Dress and the Mirror, Mirror Tank but they haven’t arrived yet in my store.

My mom was eyeing the Lane Change Skirt and I’m hoping that it goes on sale before her upcoming trip to Turkey & Greece so she can get it to wear there.

Since I shared a picture of Bailey yesterday, I thought it was only fair to let Jefferson get a chance today! Here’s my little baby boy:

  1. The color looks great on you but it is too long. Thanks again for getting my tag removed. I was kinda hoping they'd throw in a discount or something! :) No such luck.

  2. Yeah, the length is horrible on me! It would be a pain to get it shortened. The dress part could be hemmed but they'd have to shorten the lining part higher up so the ruffle wouldn't get cut off. Probably not worth it for me. But when you tried on the black version it looked good on you!

  3. Aww the top of that dress looks great! Yeah, the bottom is very long. It's fall in the "no mans land" is where I call it. Almost bridesmaid-ey. :) I saw that dress today at the store and didn't even bother trying it on because I'm afraid even at 5'5" the length might not work on me.

  5. Love your doxie! I think there must be a correlation between owning a dachshund and loving Anthro! I swear, there are so many Anthro girls who own them!

  6. That dress is way too long on me too - I love the fit and the detail otherwise, but I'd totally have to get it hemmed. Too sad, too sad...

  7. You look positively tiny in that dress! It would definitely be worth having shortened! And your dog is a cutie - reminds me of my Izzy!

  9. Thanks everyone for the compliments on the dress! I do like the color a lot. Maybe when it eventually goes on sale I'll consider getting it and having it hemmed.

I also noticed that a lot of Anthro lovers also seem to have doxies! I love seeing them pop up in pictures on blogs. :-)
