Happy Memorial Day!

This has been such a nice, relaxing holiday weekend! We didn't really have any plans so we just hung out at the house, went out to eat a few times, played with the dogs, went for a walk at the park, and watched tv. It was nice to just have a low-key weekend where we didn't have to rush around or be anywhere. :-) Here's one of my outfits from the weekend. Jefferson wanted to be in the picture too!

The next picture is actually from last weekend but I had to post it since it's my favorite new Anthropologie dress that I got from Ebay. I paired it with my Anthro Looping Lanes belt.

I hope everyone had a nice holiday weekend!

June Anthropologie Catalog Favorites

There are some beautiful things in the new June Anthropologie catalog!

I love the lavender color of the Tiny Windows Dress. This hasn’t appeared yet in my local store, but there are already some good reviews of it online (see Carol’s review at In Pursuit of Pretty Things and the British Anthropologi(e)st’s review). I am a little worried though that some have said the sleeves are tight.

The Time Gone By Dress is beautiful too. I love the vintage look to it but I’m afraid the color might not work on my pale skin.

The Scribbled Bouquet Cardigan is really cute. I like the colors and the flower appliqués and stitching makes it quirky in a good way.

The Dusky Road Mary-Janes caught my eye too. The beautiful blue color and cute topstitching are really unique. They’re pretty pricey but maybe they’ll go on sale eventually.

These are a few of my favorite things . . .

I already mentioned that Anthropologie is my favorite store, but here are 10 of my other favorite things (in no particular order):

1. Dachshunds: My boy Jefferson with my Cocker Spaniel, Bailey at the park.

2. Harry Potter (mostly the books but I like the movies too)

3. My favorite actor: Alan Rickman (especially as Snape and also Colonel Brandon in Sense & Sensibility).

4. Traveling: This is a photo we took in Bahia Honda in the Keys

5. England: If I could afford it, I'd visit England at least once a year. London is my favorite city in the world.

6. Broadway musicals, especially Wicked

7. Firefly (and other Joss Whedon creations -- Buffy & Angel)

8. Alice in Wonderland: I got this cute Alice necklace recently from Etsy seller LiiLii

9. Glee: If you haven't watched this show yet, you really need to check it out! I would watch it just for the singing and cute clothes even if it wasn't a great show.

10. My Kindle: I got this last year for my birthday and really love it!

Kicking off the holiday weekend with some sale news!

I guess this is a good way to start off this blog -- with an announcement about my favorite store, Anthropologie! An email went out yesterday with a link to the June catalog and also announced that there will be complimentary shipping until Labor Day. This is big news for Anthro lovers! The free shipping is only available to anthro members (in the US) so if you're not already a member, you can sign up for free on their website.

I'm looking forward to placing a few orders during the free shipping period. My wishlist is growing quite long! Is anyone else placing a free shipping order soon?
